Making the ultimate cocktail is no piece of cake. And you’ll never get there unless you’re using the right tools. Let’s admit it, not everyone cooks a lot or knows their way around the kitchen. But those same people still might want to fix a mean drink! If this is you, then this blog is what you’re looking for.
Right off the bat, here are some things you will need to get started:
A good supply of ice
You can buy ice, but the ideal scenario is having a refrigerator that makes them for you. The worst scenario is using your own ice cube trays. If this is your only choice, buy a bunch of them, then deposit the ice into a big bin in your freezer so you have a bit supply.
A cocktail shaker
You can actually find some good ones at Target for about 20 bucks. Other options are of course to order online.
You may or may not need this, depending on the type of drink you want to make. If you’re thinking Mojitos, then get a muddler for sure.
Another essential item you see in all bars.
This is essentially something that helps you measure how much alcohol you’re pouring. Important for newbies, but experienced people can do without it.
If you are thinking about making fruity drinks, you may need a blender.
Actually, any long spoon will do, but if you want to feel classy, get yourself a bar spoon.

Now here is something for us all to aspire to:
